The 2020 edition of the Flemish Newbie award goes about a little bit differently. One addition compared to last year is the introduction of a godparent system. Each participant is assigned a member of the Flemish steering board as their godparent for the competition. The goal is to further stimulate networking and introduce both parties to each other. Some may have heard about one another, but might not have met. The godparent will visit the farm for a farm visit to share their ideas and experiences. On the other side the newbie might give the established steering group member some new insights. Beginning of April we will run an online vote competition to see who can motivate their network the best to get the most votes. Next, at the beginning of June we will know the winner.
