The French Steering Group met in Paris the 5th of June. The main subject of this meeting was “farm succession” with the goal of sharing what all stakeholders are doing on this topic. The discussion demonstrated that many tools were already developed in France to facilitate farm succession. But the discussion raised questions about their efficiency and if they could be improved. Different studies are being held to analyze those tools, and to understand which ones are useful and why, with the intent to improve their performance.
The participants of the Steering Group shared what the first results of the studies they are leading, and came to the conclusion that it would be very interesting to organize a common event (a discussion circle meeting) in 2020, in order to share more widely the conclusions of those studies.
The Steering Group has also finalized the 2019 NEWBIE Award selection. The winner will be announced the 26th of June, in Le Havre!
