Regions can boost agroecology by teaming-up with @EU_H2020, @EIPAGRI_SP & @ENRD_CP. To discuss the how and when, a workshop, co-organised by European Commission DG AGRI, the Committtee of the regions and the ERIAFF network, will take place on the 20th of October in the context of #EURegionsWeek.
The workshop is titled “Regional living labs for agroecology” and aims to discuss the role regions could play in scaling-up agroecology, especially in the context of a major initiative being prepared under Horizon Europe: the candidate European R&I partnership on agroecology living labs and research infrastructures. The European Commission kick-started dialogue with Member States and a limited number of stakeholders on this partnership in a series of webinars in May-June 2020. This workshop during #EURegionsWeek is the moment to open the dialogue more broadly and start the discussion on how regions can play their part in this partnership and how synergies can be built between the various EU funds and programmes available, including smart specialisation and EIP-AGRI.
Registrations are open until 27 September. To register, you need to register to #EURegionsWeek first and then select this session: https://europa.eu/regions-and-cities/programme/sessions/1103_en
Spots are limited and granted on a first come first served basis. The workshop will be on the platform INTERACTIO and interpretation will be provided in French, English and Italian.
See you there!
